Open spaces and precious decorations, with FIMA taps to combine exclusivity and comfort.
Modern, dynamic architecture embraces exceptional interior design, where luxury and decoration are perfectly balanced.
We are in Chandigarh, India, in the heart of the Punjab capital originally designed by Le Corbusier, who envisioned it as a city divided into sectors, filled with gardens and parks, with wide streets and modern buildings. Here, among the significant traces left by the initial urban plan, are notable architectural features, including those dedicated to the residential sector. And among the latest projects by Projected Rays is this property of over 1,600 square meters, where every space is meticulously designed, from exterior to interior, from the choice of materials to the smallest groove on a surface. A sumptuous yet elegantly ordered project, FIMA faucets offer a complete solution for furnishing the various bathrooms and spacious shower areas with personality. It is no coincidence that FIMA INDIA is based in Chandigarh, the branch dedicated entirely to the Indian and neighbouring markets, with a large sales network and a prestigious showroom capable of offering Made in Italy products and the FIMA identity, reflecting Indian taste and standards.
This exclusive residence offers a perfect blend of luxury and creativity, difficult to describe in individual details but easy to grasp in its overall intent. Everything is harmonious and orderly, carefully chosen and arranged within the space and in close relationship with the surrounding elements. The focus is on “fullness” rather than emptiness, yet it is a refined abundance in which to immerse and identify, expressing a personal and well-defined style. To narrate the space, we can choose two key elements, capable of characterizing the space from every angle, highlighting the expressive and artistic potential of the project. Both are united by a reflection on heights, making the spaces even more spacious and grandiose.
The first is the staircase, a sculptural work that connects the different floors and becomes the fulcrum of the entire building. Crafted from high-quality materials, the staircase follows a curved line and flows fluidly through the space, creating a sense of movement that captures attention from every vantage point. The same soft, rounded lines are found repeatedly throughout the home, in the furnishings but also in the finishes and coverings. A curvilinear accent that conveys a less rigid, warmer, and more welcoming modernity.
The second key element is the ceilings and their lighting installations. Not simple horizontal surfaces, but suspended ceilings with clearly defined volumes, often curved, embellished with grazing lights and imposing pendant lamps, which descend from above like cascades of sparkling, luminous glass. In this villa, the lights are veritable jewels, characterizing the rooms and defining the functional areas even more than the walls themselves. This is also because it is an open-plan project in which the spaces flow into each other, promoting a sense of spaciousness and defining a strongly contemporary lifestyle.
“The client wanted each space to stand out and have its own identity,” explains architect Rohan Jain of Projected Rays. The bathrooms also follow these guidelines while maintaining some common features, including the spacious spa areas and all-Fima faucets. The materials are always of the highest quality, such as marble and wood embellished with carvings and moldings, which complement equally finely decorated accessories and furnishings.
The result is generous and well-appointed spaces, where luxury and comfort find the perfect balance.
This is particularly true in shower areas , where great attention is paid to cutting-edge water management solutions. FIMA has addressed this quest for functionality with both built-in mixer taps and shower heads, often installed ceiling-mounted. It’s important to note that these aren’t just simple shower enclosures, but, especially in the sleeping area, actual “rooms” within the bathroom.
For the sink areas, the collection that best highlights the luxurious and multifaceted nature of the project is TEXTURE COLLECTION , a modern classic designed by Meneghello & Paolelli Associati. Texture changes finish in each space, but allows for further customization by changing the control cover, which can be white marble on a gold base in a light-colored space, or a total black chrome look to highlight dark details, and so on.
In the bathrooms of the living area, we find a collection with an intriguing and vibrant design. It’s SO , designed by Davide Vercelli, and here it’s available in a countertop or built-in version, with an elegant wooden handle. Once again, a material detail chosen to personalize the space, a constant throughout the entire project of this exclusive villa.
