ID06/A – INTEGRATED QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, AND SAFETY POLICY FIMA CARLO FRATTINI SPA is a market-leading company in the design and manufacturing of sanitary taps.
In order to successfully pursue full satisfaction of its wide range of customers, FIMA CARLO FRATTINI SPA places maximum attention on the quality of its products, taking care of the needs of individual customers with respect to the placement of the supplied product in their respective production cycles and ensuring timely product delivery.
For this reason it maintains, develops and updates its own Quality Management System , in accordance with the standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2015.
At the same time, FIMA CARLO FRATTINI SPA is strongly involved in promoting a culture of sustainability, well aware of its role and contribution in:
- minimize the environmental impacts of the products, processes and services performed and tangibly improve their environmental performance;
- ensure healthy and safe working environments for its employees and collaborators;
- promote ethical principles and practices that respect the environment and people along its supply chain and towards its stakeholders.
For this reason, the Quality Management System has been functionally integrated, starting from 2024, with the Environmental Management System compliant with the standard UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 and with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System compliant with the standard UNI ISO 45001:2018.
The Integrated Management System (IMS) thus created by FIMA CARLO FRATTINI SPA implements the principles and values set out by the Top Management and contained within this Policy Document and pursues the following General Objectives:
- implement and ensure continuous improvement of its own SGI and performance over time, aimed at pursuing customer satisfaction, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety, thus allowing the company to always position itself prominently in its reference field;
- pursue quality, pollution prevention, and occupational health and safety objectives that are aligned and consistent with general development strategies;
- ensure the commitment to comply with the applicable Compliance Obligations, whether they arise from legal obligations, whether they arise from non-mandatory but binding Requirements for the achievement of the SGI objectives or voluntarily signed with the Interested Parties;
- Promote the integration of the IMS into the organization’s strategic and business processes through the involvement of top management and the sharing and continuous comparison of the various functions; also ensure that the roles, responsibilities, and authorities relevant to the IMS are clearly identified, assigned, communicated, and understood within the Organization;
- make adequate resources available for the development of the SGI, the application of the principles of the policy, the promotion of culture and corporate growth, verifying the level and effectiveness of the measures undertaken on a regular basis;
- oversee every phase of product design and manufacturing, in order to ensure: conscious management of company processes under reasonably foreseeable operating conditions, compliance with required quality standards, control and minimization of risks to safety and the environment, to the organization, to stakeholders and to the general community in which FIMA CARLO FRATTINI SPA operates;
- Promote the development of knowledge and skills among people working for and on behalf of the organization through the implementation of targeted training programs and communication and information activities. This is to increase informed behavior, especially for those roles and activities whose roles and activities may significantly impact service and/or product quality, environmental impacts, or health or safety risks.
- Identify and document indicators for measuring system, quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety performance for monitoring company processes/activities and for monitoring product quality;
- systematically review the achievement of the expected outcomes and the effectiveness of the SGI in pursuing continuous improvement of processes and performance;
The Top Management is also committed to pursuing specific objectives in the areas of Quality, Environment and Safety; in particular, the following are Specific Objectives for Quality and for the Sustainability:

Our Quality Objectives will be directed at the development of our business, which we will achieve through effective organizational process management. The skills of our workforce will be improved and developed through Education, Training, and Effective Internal and External Communication Plans.
They are instead Specific objectives for the Environment:
- ensure commitment to environmental protection, including pollution prevention and the other specific commitments set out below;
- evaluate and manage its Environmental Aspects and Impacts, determining the associated risks and implementing appropriate management, control and reduction measures;
- consider pollution management and prevention, waste reduction, and energy saving processes as an integral part of company processes, to ensure that responsible and environmentally sustainable management of our products is implemented at every stage of product design and manufacturing and throughout the entire value chain, throughout their life cycle;
- pursue a visible reduction of its environmental impacts, with particular reference to waste production, energy consumption and natural resources, through the implementation and monitoring of dedicated indicators;
- encourage external parties who collaborate with us (suppliers, distributors, users, etc.) to incorporate sustainability and environmental protection principles into their environmental strategies and in the management of their processes;
- pay maximum attention to managing direct and indirect environmental impacts related to the hazardous nature of its products;
- take the utmost care in the design, selection and use of equipment and systems, using the best available techniques and plant technologies, as far as economically feasible and with a view to continuous improvement, pursuing changes to activities and systems with the aim of minimising the associated risks that may have an effect on people and the environment
Finally, the following specific objectives for Health and Safety at Work are set to ensure continuous improvement of Health and Safety at Work performance.
- Establish, implement, and maintain processes for the ongoing and proactive identification of hazards, planning a continuous process that anticipates changing circumstances and determines risks and opportunities for workers and the OH&S management system.
- Commit to pursuing risk reduction and, where possible, the elimination of hazards, by providing healthy and safe working environments and conditions to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, identifying solutions and improvements appropriate to the company’s reality, its context, and the specific nature of OSH risks and opportunities; identify and seize opportunities for improving working conditions offered by the context (Industry 5.0 approach).
- Actively involve workers, their representatives, and relevant functions in the process of eliminating hazards, managing and controlling risks, and improving OSH, by promoting and providing time and resources for participation and active consultation, allowing timely access to clear and relevant information about the system, and committing to identifying and eliminating or minimizing any obstacles or barriers to participation.
- Manage procurement processes carefully and systematically, coordinating effectively with contractors to ensure that SGI requirements are met in the procurement of goods and services.

- Continuously improve organizational knowledge and culture regarding OSH over time, in order to reduce accidents, near-misses, and unsafe behaviors and situations, encouraging reporting and taking responsibility for it.
